This website presents Krypton (KYP), a community-driven open-source software project. The project has no company, foundation or legal entity behind it: it is maintained by contributors who publish their work publicly.

Risk disclosure

Nothing on this site is investment advice. No text here is a recommendation, a solicitation, an offer, or a promise of any return. KYP is not a security and grants no claim, share, dividend or right over any entity or asset.

Before acquiring, mining or holding any cryptocurrency, understand the following:

  • You can lose everything. Cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile and can fall to zero. Only commit what you can afford to lose entirely.
  • Transactions are irreversible. Send to a wrong address and the coins are gone. There is no chargeback, no dispute process and no support desk that can undo it.
  • Lost keys mean lost coins. If you lose your wallet file or its password and have no backup, nobody — including the project — can recover your funds.
  • The market may be thin. A small cryptocurrency can be difficult to sell at the displayed price, or at all.
  • Rules differ by country. The legal and tax treatment of cryptocurrency varies by jurisdiction and changes over time. Complying with the law where you live is your responsibility.
  • Security is a network property. Proof-of-Work security depends on the hashing power actually mining the chain. Protocol safeguards limit the damage of an attack, but no blockchain is immune by decree.

Software licence and warranty

Krypton is distributed under the MIT licence. As stated in that licence, the software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, contributors are not liable for any claim, damage or loss arising from the software or its use.

The source code is public. Anyone can read it, audit it, compile it and verify that the published binaries match — and doing so is encouraged rather than trusting a claim made on a web page.

Accuracy of information

Figures shown here — block height, reward, halving estimates, market price — are read from public sources and shown in good faith, but no guarantee is made about accuracy, completeness or availability. Halving estimates in particular are projections based on the recent block rate; they move as network hashrate changes. For anything that matters, verify against the blockchain itself using the block explorer or your own node.

Third-party links and services

This site links to exchanges, market data providers, code hosting and community platforms operated by other people. Those links are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement. The project does not control these services, does not audit them, holds no funds on your behalf, and cannot intervene in a dispute you may have with them. Read their terms before using them.

Coins held on an exchange are held by that exchange, not by you. Withdraw anything you intend to keep to a wallet whose keys you control.

Downloads

Official builds are published on the project's GitHub releases page and the download links on this site point there. Do not run wallet software obtained from anywhere else: a modified wallet can steal your coins, and this is one of the most common ways people lose funds.

Intellectual property

The Krypton name and logo identify this project. The software is MIT licensed and may be reused accordingly. Other names and marks mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only, without implying any affiliation or endorsement.

Use of this site

These pages are informational. Using them implies acceptance of this notice and of the privacy policy. Access may be interrupted or changed at any time without notice. Should any provision here be unenforceable in your jurisdiction, the remainder continues to apply.

Jurisdiction-specific requirements. Some countries require a website to publish additional details such as the publisher's identity and address, the hosting provider, or a specific regulatory statement. If that applies where this site is operated, those details should be added to this page.
